Robert Clergerie
Robert Clergerie first found his love for shoes in 1970. He perfected his craft over the course of several years working in Romans-sur-Isère, and in 1978 he acquired a manufacturing site. The Clergerie brand was established in 1981 and opened its first boutique at 5, rue du Cherche-Midi in Paris soon after. Clergerie is a classy, luxury brand and the first to introduce the Goodyear welt and to use raffia in high-end shoemaking. In 2005, the french brand entered the American Footwear Association Hall of Fame. The luxury shoe and handbag label now has boutiques in key locations across the country including Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Cannes, Madrid, Geneva – and over 250 wholesale partners.
