And Just Like That, a revival of the famous Sex and the City show, has began filming it’s second season. And we have some opinions on the outfit choices for Carrie and Charlotte. As always Sarah Jessica Parker was the epitome of fashion pairing a pleated gold dress with a gray zip up hoodie. While the rest of the fashion forward characters had vastly different wardrobes. Let’s get into the rest of the looks.

These outfits on Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker and Charlotte, played by Kristin Davis are right on brand for their characters. Carrie is pictured wearing a khaki green utility jumpsuit, and Charlotte is seen wearing a sheer polka dot blouse with a peter pan collar, a hot pink bow, and a matching black skirt.

Contrast to Carrie, Charlotte is known for her polished, proper, and feminine style. Whereas Carrie is known to break fashion norms and dress outside of the box. You can see her unique sense of style come through in the JW Anderson pigeon clutch, which shocked the internet with its resemblance to a real New York City pigeon.

We absolutely love this fuchsia ensemble on Carrie. Different shades of pink from fuchsia to barbie pink have been trending this year, and we love how this hot color was styled on Carrie. Not only did the actress rock a vintage dress but she wore a vintage e Bottega Veneta bag too. Bottega Veneta has been making waves in the fashion community with their infamous Intrecciato bags. And we’re obsessed with this purple and fuchsia woven leather Intrecciato bag on Carrie.

This next look from Charlotte took the internet by storm, as it was quickly labeled “the gilded age x dominatrix”. This ensemble has many different themes playing at once, but that is what makes the Sex and the City franchise so iconic- their ability to experiment and be creative with their fashion choices. However, this specific outfit for Charlotte is not on brand with her usual feminine aesthetic.

I like the mixtures of texture in this look, satin and leather. But the excess of different accessories causes the pieces to clash. To make the look more palatable I would remove the netting around the hat, and swap the long skirt for a pair of leather leggings. Making the hot pink blazer the stand out piece of the outfit. This would improve the outfit overall, without jeopardizing the integrity of the aesthetic.
Last but not least we got a behind the scenes sneak peek at some of the handbags and accessories on set. During filming, the And Just Like That costume department snapped a picture of these gorgeous handbags trending right now.
