Nancy Gonzalez

Columbia based designer Nancy Gonzalez started her brand with her son Santiago Gonzalez in 1998, selling her first collection at Bergdorf Goodman. All of her handbags are handcrafted in Columbia by local artisans- mainly women. The designer’s handbags are typically made from naturally dyed skins like iridescent python and cobalt-blue ostrich or plant-based materials like banana leaf. The brand’s signature material is crocodile skin, often dyed in bright colors, with the majority of their leathers sourced from the Gonzalez farms in Colombia. In the last few years the brand has expanded beyond handbags and now offers a line of accessories and shoes.
